In the United States, many people set their clocks forward in the spring and back in the fall, referred to as Daylight Saving Time (DST). But what about military personnel? Does a 24-hour military clock follow Daylight Saving Time, too? The answer is yes!

Since World War I, most of countries with a major military presence have followed a 24-hour clock system called Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This system kept all militaries on the same time even though they were in different countries. During times of war, this was especially important.

Now that most countries around the world have adopted DST, it has been integrated into UTC. This means that when your local clocks change for DST, so does the military 24-hour clock. The only exception is for militaries who use local time instead of UTC.
